I bought Dofo, Danish blue cheese and ate it. And again I stared at the green mold they have in it, it was sure green not blue. Then I thought about why it's blue cheese and is not green cheese.
Green is so associated with the image of leaves, so if we heard green cheese we might suppose it includes chlorophyll in it. Blue was an euphemism for green, and there's no blue in living materials. Blue is more abstract notion than green which is more concrete, so when in use of the word in food, blue is more preferable than green.
I might have to consider why we call semi-transparent wine white next, but it's time to sleep definitely I'd better stop thinking about useless, meaningless, colourless things timelessly.

I've never really thought about the coloring of food beyond froot loops and M&Ms...nice.

Interestingly the colour of foods forms an important part of our appetite. We can taste bitter, sweet, sour, salty, umami( glutamate ) and 'colour' as well.

If I recall, a green cheese is a new cheese. That is, a cheese that has not had time to age.
So there is a small smattering of blue usually, hence the name blue cheese.

Not only natto but other fermented foods like cheese attracts a lot of people.
Why natto is tasty? Because that reflects the spirit of samurai. Natto was developed in the east part of Japan -Tokyo (to tell the truth, you know in the western part of Japan, traditionally natto hasn't been eaten)- that is regarded as a cradle of samurai spirit. Natto represents spirit of simple diet, vegetarian protein, thought to be only allowed to take in Buddhist tradition. And the strings of natto are believed to be not being able to cut by Japanese sword, that's perseverance, patience, frugality-one of virtues of Japanese bushido.
Let's eat natto in the breakfast.

Next time I had to glare at the spots whether they are really blue. And I've never eaten green cheese, I try to find the one in a department store later.

You may not be able to find one. Try looking for a 'Farmer's Cheese'. I believe that usually qualifies as a "green cheese".

hey mercedo,while i was asleep i thought of something green that we call blue and i was going to remember it to tell you about but now that i'm awake i've forgotten.now i don't know whether i will remember a real green thing or whether i just thought i had found one in my dream.

Once upon a time, blue was as sky &marine as blue, green was as leaves as green. When human history entered into the Bronze Age, they found the colour of blonze stain indescribable.
They called it verdigris, but it was not neither green nor blue. Since then confusion of blue &green started.
